Vans USO /Truth Orange

I was invited to paint at the USO Vans Surfing contest in Huntington Beach Ca. On the 20th and 21st
on behalf of the Truth anti tobacco campaign.

Painting, drawing, brainstorming

This week I was commissioned by and old friend to paint a graffiti style canvas for their little boy. after a few sketches this is what we decided on. This traditional bubble style with a chrome fill looks simple but difficult to execute on this size canvas. I had a lot of fun painting it and my friend Tanner and her Partner where really happy with it.

Its not everyday that I get request to paint someones shirt on the spot while they are still wearing it. There was no way I was going to say no.

Sketching is a daily ritual for me. It keeps the ideas flowing. And if you are familiar with my work you know my point of views are obvious.

Back in 2007 I was on tour with the Plutonium G Spray Paint company. Syntex and I were rocking demonstration canvases for potential buyers to witness the quality of the Plotonium G spray paint. Doing the trade shows were a lot of fun.
